Day 1 (roughly 270 km)

Departing Cape Town, we travel along a beautiful coastal route via Clarens Drive to Hermanus. Hermanus is famous for incredible whale watching where Southern Right Whales (June to November) can be seen up to a few metres from the rocky shores and cliff paths. We then travel via Stanford through the scenic Overberg winelands for some optional beer or wine tasting. We continue our journey through the Overberg Region with its rolling farmlands, wheat fields and Merino Sheep farms to bring us to Bredasdorp where guests can choose to visit the shipwreck museum. To end the day's driving, we then head to the Southernmost point of the African continent, Cape Agulhas - place where the two oceans officially meet. Here we will make time for dinner and spend the night.

Clarens Drive - majestic mountains, beaches and coastal road
Hermanus - whale watching (June to November) and lunch break
Optional Wine / Beer Tasting - at a beautiful wine estate in the Overberg
Bredasdorp - optional shipwreck museum
Cape Agulhas - Southernmost point of Africa
Overnight - Cape Agulhas

Day 2 (roughly 250 km)

After breakfast, we view the town of Struisbaai and visit the Cape Agulhas lighthouse, the second oldest working lighthouse in South Africa – erected in 1848. The lighthouse provides a panoramic view of where the two oceans meet. Ships pass on the horizon and Southern Right whales can be spotted from June to November. We continue our tour back to Cape Town through the Overberg, but this time we drive over the mountain instead of around it as we did on day 1. We stop for a quick toilet and coffee break at Houwhoek Inn which is the oldest hotel in South Africa. After this quick stop we take Sir Lowry's Pass to be back in Cape Town late afternoon or early evening.

Cape Agulhas Lighthouse - the second oldest working lighthouse in South Africa
Struisbaai - Fishermans Harbour and uninterrupted 14 km white sandy beach
Houwhoek Inn - coffee break at South Africa's oldest hotel
Sir Lowrys Pass - incredible mountain pass and view over False Bay
