Shark Diving Tours
Tour Highlights:

-A relaxing, early morning drive to Gans Bay
-An exciting boat trip with cage diving and boat viewing
-Light lunch and refreshments

An early morning departure from Cape Town takes you Gans Bay - a world famous spot on the coast of South Africa where Great White Sharks can be viewed metres from you. Return later that same evening. Decide if you would like to go into the cage or view from the boat.

Cape Town Shark Diving Tours run on a daily basis, depending on weather, tides and availability.

With this tour package we will provide transfers from Cape Town to Gansbaai where the shark diving take place. A night's accommodation can also be included with breakfast the next morning. Please let us know if you would like to extend this excursion to a relaxing 2 day stay in Gans Bay - an historical, relaxing little town by the sea.

Shark Diving Tours does not mean you have to go into the cage or in the water. Simply standing on the deck of the boat provides a magnificent experience and shark sightseeing.

The climate and temperature of the seawater in the Gans Bay area is well-known to attract Great White Sharks. These incredible predators can be seen from metres away as they literally brush pass you while submerged in a cage hanging from the side of a boat. It sounds scary, and it is! These operators however are extremely professional and know exactly what they're doing.

The great white shark is an exceptionally large lamniform shark found in coastal surface waters in all major oceans. Reaching lengths of more than 6 m (20 ft) and weighing up to 2,250 kg (5,000 lb), the great white shark is arguably the world's largest known predatory fish. It is the only surviving species of its genus, Carcharodon. Many documentaries have aired about these creatures on channels such as National Geographic and The Discovery Channel.

These trips usually start very early in the morning. The first transfer vans do their pick up's as early as 05:30 in the morning, while later pick-up's occur around 10:00 in the morning, usually if the tides allow and the weather holds up.

Travelers must be warned not to arrange or make any further important plans for the day on which they go on a shark diving tour. The reason for this is simply the fact that these tours can be affected by tides, weather and traffic. Pick up and drop off times should be used as guidelines only, and will only be confirmed a day or so before the actual tour.

Shark Cage Diving is an adrenaline activity and a true highlight when it comes to South Africa and Cape Town attractions. We seriously suggest you make time for this tour and explore the other side of South Africa's wildlife.

Please let us know should you prefer to have this activity take place in one day and we'll let you know your options.
